View 61: Polebridge Mercantile
Mystical Polebridge lies up the rough North Fork road from Columbia Falls. Once there was a pole bridge here across the North Fork, from which the area got its name, however in 1988 a fire ended the pole bridge and it was replaced by a concrete span. The old name remains. "Concretebridge" just doesn't have the cachet.
There are other things to see and do up this direction, but the "Merc" is the magnet. The Merc was built in 1914 by Bill Adair and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. But anybody who has visited the place has added it to their personal register of fantastic places the moment they step inside.
Although the natives rely on the Merc for basic staples, visitors drool over the lip-smacking good pastry items, baked daily by the owner. The Merc hasn't changed a whole lot in nearly a hundred years and people like it that way.

Formats of Digital Block Prints
Most digital block prints are done in the format of a small poster size printed on paper and sold unmatted. Canvas scenes and panoramas are another format for digital block prints. A few pieces are in the format of hand-painted watercolors with a black overprint; they come matted. The limited edition format is printed on paper, signed and numbered by the artist, and are matted.
